Who's Moving Where In Wealth Management? - UBS, Apollon, Raymond James

Raymond James William “Torey” Carr leads a team of five financial professionals, shifting to Apollon’s full-service wealth management platform. Most recently, Carr and his team oversaw $530 million of assets at UBS Financial Services, Apollon said in a statement yesterday. “Being able to practice in a true fiduciary capacity was the driving factor in our decision to move to an independent model. In surveying the ecosystem of the independent space, we found a trusted partner in Apollon Wealth Management,” said Carr. Apollon was founded in 2017, expanding from a team of seven in a single office to more than 50 professionals offering their services in 14 states. It is backed by Merchant Investment Management, and oversees $3 billion in assets. It has offices in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Connecticut, Maine, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Missouri, Texas, Montana, Colorado, Tennessee and Oregon. The firm said it “continues to look for strategic partners nationwide.”
Raymond James has welcomed financial advisors Eric Cornell and Patrick Shea in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to its independent advisor channel.
The advisors operate under the moniker of Helius Wealth Management. Other members include branch associates Margaret Scaparotti and Alana Cornell, as well as client service associates Josefine Troneby and John Nelson.
The financial advisors and team members joined from Ameriprise Financial Services, where they previously managed about $195 million in client assets. They serve a variety of clients including business owners, corporate executives, families and physicians.
